Work It Out – The Struggle is Real

Taking steps

I love hitting the gym on the daily but I cannot tell a lie there are some days that it seems harder to get there than others. There are few things I have implemented to make sure I get my a@@ out of bed and hit the weights.

  1. I make it part of my morning routine. I basically roll out of bed, brush my teeth, put my hair in a pony tail and go. There is no thinking involved. It is just what I do.
  2. On the days when I wake up and allow myself to think before rolling out of bed. I let the following thoughts enter my mind “Oh do I really want to go today?” “Maybe, I should just skip today.” “I am so tired”. Instead of letting these negative thoughts win I then shift to remember how good it feels after a great workout. Then I jump out of bed and make my way to the gym.
  3. I love my workout clothes and basically could live in them.  And, I cannot tell a lie there are few pairs of leggings that I get excited to wear. The leggings from Body Language Sportswear have a little bit of compression  - they feel amazing and look fab! These are my favourite two at the moment. Sparkles and Butterfly's - there is nothing boring here!
4.I also have a few favourite “go to" work out songs that I play on the way to the gym and during my workout just to keep me going.

            5. And, I have a go to routine for when I am travelling. Do this set 3 times and then let me know how it works out for you!

      • Skip 50 Rotations
      • 10 Burpees
      • Skip 50 Rotations
      • 30 Lunges (15 each leg)
      • Skip 50 Rotations
      • 25 Squats
      • Skip 50 Rotations
      • 30 One Leg Balanced Deadlift (15 each leg)
      • Push Ups
      • Skip 50 Rotations
      • 25 Sit Ups
      • Skip 50 Rotations

We all struggle at different times but there are ways you can trick yourself into getting it done!

Do you have any tricks that get you to the gym or make sure you get in a daily workout?
